Bent Roads Tavern releases latest single, “Long Way From Toronto”
Alt-folk collective, Bent Roads Tavern released their latest single, “Long Way From Toronto,” from their upcoming record. This release is the first of three BRT singles that will be released as ‘the nights get colder here in August’. The song and production draw inspiration from Gord Downie, the Dave Matthews Band, and Dan Mangan, arcing a story using intricate instrumentals over a simple structure.
“Long Way From Toronto is a song about the maturity gaps that sometimes develops in a relationship and the anguish, bargaining, and even outright denial that follows the realization that the immature one is yourself.” Middleton reflects. “It is an intensely personal track that has seemed to have remained a fan favourite through the years. We are really proud of this re-imagined recording and really looking forward to sharing this with Canadiana music fans young and (more) mature.”
