With an evocative voice that captivates her audience, Paige Warner creates alt-pop music that sits between R&B, singer-songwriter, and blues-rock with soul-inspired vocal licks layered on catchy hooks and rhythms.
Paige’s latest release, “Stockholm Syndrome” is for anyone who has fallen in love with the wrong person. It’s for those who want to stomp and clap their way out of it. To stomp and clap until their brains realize the truth. If there is such a thing as a dark anthem, this is it.
Paige is set to play multiple showcases at Summerfolk in Owen Sound, Ontario throughout the weekend, including a concert at Gazebo Wine Bar on Saturday, August 19.

First off, care to introduce yourself to our readers?
Hi friends! My name is Paige Warner. I’m a singer/songwriter and recording artist from Ontario! I love songwriting and performing and helping people feel seen through song. If I’m not doing something music-related, find me testing new tea flavours, walking trails, or spending time with people I love.
Tell us a bit about your most recent release.
My most recent project was actually a video for my latest single “Stockholm Syndrome” which is my first official music video. It’s set in the smoky 60s and showcases the two sides of the “Stockholm Syndrome” message: the trapped victim, and the powerful woman who made it out the other side.
You’re set to play Summerfolk in Owen Sound, Ontario on the weekend of August 18-20. Is this your first time performing at the festival? If so, have you ever attended?
I was actually a Youth Discoveries back in 2015! That was such a life changer for me and it was one of my first experiences performing original songs. (Big thanks to Tara MacKenzie for believing I was capable!) This will be my first year back to perform since, and I’m excited to have local bandmates and friends performing with me!
With a stellar lineup, who are you excited to check out the fest?
This is a very hard question! I wish I could catch every single artist on this lineup, but there are a few that I absolutely cannot miss. Serena Ryder’s “Harmony” album was one of the first CDs I bought with my own money as a pre-teen, so her performance is a must. Others I’m very excited for include Julian Taylor, Angelique Francis, Matt Anderson, and fellow past Youth Discoveries Mia Kelly and Marshall Veroni, and of course the 2023 Youth Discoveries!
For someone who has yet to see you perform live, describe your performance in 3 words.
captivating, emotive, energy
When you think of a summer festival, like Summerfolk, what’s the first thing that comes to mind that you want to check out, other than the music?
One of the things that I love about Summerfolk is the amazing vendors! So many talented artisans and people that I may not have heard about or met without Summerfolk connecting us. Find me in the Sunday’s Ice Cream line or buying early hand-made holiday gifts!
Do you have any other upcoming shows or festivals to tell us about?
Other than Summerfolk of course, I have a few upcoming shows that I’m really excited about including:
Aug 12 – Sofar Sounds Toronto
Aug 15 – Sauble Beach Town Square
Sep 9 – Emmanuel Concerts Kitchener opening for 19th Moon
Oct 28 – Kitchener Registry Theatre opening for friends of mine “I, The Mountain”
