Good Lovelies Share “Find Our Way Home” From Their Upcoming Album, We Will Never Be The Same
Good Lovelies have shared their latest single, “Find Our Way Home”, a love song written for their own band and what it means to them. “Find Our Way Home” is taken from the JUNO Award-winning Toronto-based trio’s new album We Will Never Be The Same which is set for release on October 6th via Outside Music. The group will be touring across Canada this fall. Tickets are on sale now.
““Find Our Way Home” calls back the early days of our trio,” explains Caroline Brooks, “a time when the work was no work at all, when we trusted our instincts (especially when they led to silliness and fun), and when everything felt lighter and more free. It’s hard to live in that space forever, and likely impossible, but it’s important to remember what our “home” looks like – the three of us singing on stage together, light with harmony and joy sung.”
Exploring the entry into middle life, We Will Never Be The Same is Good Lovelies’ first album in four years. There is power and strength in this album; a story of lives well-lived and you can hear the seventeen years Caroline Marie Brooks, Kerri Ough & Susan Passmore have spent singing and writing together in the lush vocal arrangements, layered guitars, garnishes of banjo and wurlitzer and rich drum and percussion textures. Working with producers Joshua Van Tassel and Christine Bougie (who both also performed on the album), the album was written and produced in cottages across Canada, including a cottage owned by the legendary broadcaster/author Stuart McLean.
