Zach’s Picks Of The Week – July 31 to August 5, 2023

Zach's

Zach Coopz is back with another week of his favourites

How are you going this week? Welcome back to Zach’s Picks of the Week, where I’m going to recommend my top five or six songs of the week! Right here from our website Canadian Beats is where you will find all of this amazing content. Be sure to explore the rest of our website after you check out these picks of the week, but each of the articles will be linked down below in this post. You will also get to hear a clip from each of the chosen songs this time. They will be coming up down below, but right now let’s get started with this week’s choices. These are Zach’s Picks Of The Week, so enjoy!

Five

Beginning our story this week will be the emerging songstress Divine Lightbody out of Toronto. She has now released a new track, just in time to vibe to in the heat of summer. Her groovy, upbeat new single “No Pressure” is a love song for summer flings. It’s available across all your favourite music platforms now, but you can hear it in our article right here.

Four

Making the good vibes continue is Toronto singer-songwriter Mike Ruby and his latest no holds barred love song. It’s called “unconditional” and is from his second EP, a million you’s which will be released in the fall. But you can still listen to the new song on all streaming services right now and in our article. Where Mike is hit with our Five Questions With segment and you can get five answers here.

Three

Alright, taking us into the top three is the only Metal band on our list this week. All the way based in Dartmouth, NS we have Orchid’s Curse. They have recently unleashed their new record, The Decay to all streaming platforms now. Bring to life lyrics that explore the decline and decay of our modern society. Go and see what they had to say in our Five Questions With segment here.

Two

Now it’s time to introduce who’s in our top two spots this week, and it’s another Toronto-based duo. They’re a couple of singer-songwriters that go by the name, Staig & Billings (Chris Staig and Jonathan Billings). Together they have released their debut album together called, Years Gone By and you check it out on all platforms now. We have given our honest review of this record if you wanted to know. You can listen to the album and read the review here.

BONUS: Canadian Beats Passport

Now it’s time for that bonus recommendation I was talking about, featuring an international artist. Long Island, New York,-based singer Xondra, a.k.a. Alexondra O’Connell has released her genre-fusing single, “Like You Used To” on all streaming platforms but she has many new ones on the way. Be sure to go and learn more about Xondra when you check out our Canadian Beats Passport coverage here.

One

Then we had only one more to go and it’s gonna introduce you to indie pop artist earth2zoe. Who has entered the chat with her independently released new single “Lame.” Find it now across all streaming platforms. She collaborated with producer Ryan Stewart on the new single, and the song dives into the raw truths of relationship betrayal in the era of social media. Go check out the new single and more in the article for my number one choice this week, here.

That is going to be my amazing recommendation, so I hope you enjoyed listening to them. I, of course, will be back next Music Monday with all sorts of new things to share with you. Be sure to tune in and tell your friends about the show. Otherwise, they’re not gonna know where the best music is coming from. Everything is posted on the website every day so go check it out. However until our paths meet again, I’d like to wish you all love and positivity this week ahead. These have been Zach’s Picks of the Week and once again thank you so much for watching or reading up. So as always, PEACE, LOVE, AND GOOD MUSIC EVERYONE!!
