Emily Reid has released her most-authentic and vulnerable single yet with “First Impressions”
On July 21, singer-songwriter Emily Reid is proving that you can, in fact, make a second first impression with the release of her first self-written and self-produced single, “First Impressions.” This track is the first look at her upcoming EP by the same name to be released this fall. It was written and produced by Reid and undoubtedly proves that she knows who she is as an artist, not only as an established performer and songwriter but also as a producer. “First Impressions” is available everywhere now.
Shares Reid,
“Releasing “First Impressions” was really important for me to make the first step in this next chapter of my career. Writing and producing this song myself I was able to take back my creative power and put my most authentic self out there.”
She also shared this on social media,
“Ripping off the band-aid for two reasons – I really wanted to put out something that I was proud of and I wanted to tell this story. I know I’m not alone in the feeling of trying to be something to make other people happy and losing yourself in the process. I’m so grateful to all of the amazing people in my life who have encouraged this out of me and couldn’t have done it without them x10,000. Cheers!”
