Watch the lyric video for “Trouble Found Me” below and learn more about The Darcys via our Dragon Boat Festival interview segment.
First off, care to introduce yourself to our readers?
The Darcys are a two-piece alt-rock band based in sunny Los Angeles, California.
Tell us a bit about your latest release.
Our latest single “Trouble Found Me” is climbing the radio charts and is an absolute pleasure to play live. “Trouble” along with “Running For The Hills” is part of a new record that we are feverishly trying to finish. Fingers crossed we’ll have a few new songs ready to debut at Dragon Boat.
You will be playing at Tim Horton’s Ottawa Dragon Boat Festival. Is this your first time performing at this festival?
We played back in 2017 and from what I can remember it rained during our entire set. Of course, the sun came out just in time for Half Moon Run to put on an incredible show. We’re very excited to be back.
For someone who has yet to see you perform live, describe your performance in 3 words.
Live. Laugh. Love.
With a full-Canadian lineup, who are you looking forward to checking out during the festival?
The whole lineup looks great, but it’s especially nice when we get to watch our pals Bedouin Soundclash, Dear Rouge, and Tim Baker do their thing.
Beyond The Pale and Side Hustle Sodas will be at the festival, along with 14 different food trucks. What is your favourite treat to enjoy at festivals?
I’m here for the sweet treats and the soda waters. I’m a sucker for an apple fritter.
Do you have any other upcoming shows or festivals to tell us about?
We’re about to announce something very exciting for the fall, but I can’t tell y’all about it just yet.
