Vancouver’s Liam Docherty Unveils New Single, “Gemini Rising”
Vancouver Island blues musician Liam Docherty takes inspiration from the stars with his new single “Gemini Rising” out this Friday on all digital streaming platforms, but today you have a first-listen to the track. “Gemini Rising” is the first single and title track from Liam’s new album (out on June 30th), which was written and recorded when he was 15 years old.
“The song is inspired by my study of Greek Mythology and specifically the mythology of the Gemini star constellation,” says Liam. “The themes therein are experienced by all of us, everyday, as we go about our lives,specifically; separation, loss, longing, love and reunification. The song is about two people who have been separated and are destined to overcome all odds to reunite.”
