Brooke MacArthur, a country artist with a unique sound and love for storytelling from Prince Edward Island is here to tug at your heartstrings with her new emotional ballad, “I Wonder.”
“I Wonder” delves into the complexities of heartbreak and the lingering curiosity that arises when an ex moves on to a new love. The lyrics capture that common feeling of jealousy, confusion, and heartbreak, wondering what the new love has that you don’t.
Brooke shares,
“I believe this song is a powerful reminder that moving on is never easy, especially when you feel like you’re being replaced. I’m sure many people have experienced the feeling of pain or confusion after realizing someone you thought would always be there for you has moved on, so I hope people can connect to this song and can be reminded that they are not alone.”
Brooke’s love for songwriting started in her late teens, writing relatable lyrics that speak about the truths in relationships while being inspired by artists like Taylor Swift and Shania Twain. Brooke has collaborated with songwriters in Nashville and Calgary and has spent the last few years working with the talented CCMA and Juno award-winning producer, Jason Barry who produced “I Wonder.” With great momentum and more music on the way, Brooke is excited for what’s new in her career!
