Brooklyn Dorans Drops Official Music Video for “Wasted My Twenties”

Returning with an alluring blend of grunge-tinged pop and evocative storytelling, Canadian singer-songwriter Brooklyn Doran drops the official music video for her new single “Wasted My Twenties.”

We filmed the video for Wasted My Twenties in Grand Bend, Ontario with my good friends Brittany Farhat and Matt Fong from GoodJobHiFive. The vibe we were going for was Indie Sleaze/ tumblr grunge, and their space and aesthetic as creators really encapsulated that overall feeling,” Brooklyn shares about the video. She continues about the single, “As I enter my thirties, I think back about the urgency I had in my twenties to prove myself- as a person worthy of love, as a musician and songwriter, and as an adult. It also speaks to the realness of touring in your twenties. I feel like I really paid my dues in this era, but I also look back and see more than a few unhealthy habits that could’ve been broken earlier.

This week, Brooklyn kicks off her Fixer Upper Tour, which includes performances at NXNE and on the main stage at Pride Toronto. Tickets are on sale now
