Newfoundland’s Mallory Johnson is nominated for Country Recording of the Year at the East Coast Music Awards for her album Surprise Party.
The Surprise Party album was released last fall to critical acclaim, debuting at #2 on the iTunes Country chart, with an exclusive in PEOPLE Magazine and garnering over 100K streams in the first three weeks. Produced by Grammy and Oscar award-nominated producer Kent Wells (Dolly Parton, Paul Anka, Carly Pearce), the twelve-track album features Mallory’s Billboard charting track “Married,” and a solo version of her successful collaboration with West Coast duo Twin Kennedy, “Wise Woman,” which was called “[A] gorgeous tale of vulnerability that strikes just the right chord,” by Billboard.
