After a dreamy afternoon at St Jean-Baptiste Church with Sofiane Pamart, we kept the Francophone theme going and headed to Bell Center to catch Belgian pop sensation Angèle!
It had been a few years since Angèle came to town (2019, to be exact), and it’s no secret that her popularity skyrocketed this year, including with an amazing set at Coachella a few weeks ago! While she played smaller venues on the rest of her North American tour (including in Vancouver, where we also caught her show), she sold out two Bell Centres without a problem, making it a weekend with over 30,000 people coming to her show!
The evening opened in high gear with Plus de Sens, and stayed high in energy through all her hits, such as Tout Oublier, Fever (ft. Dua Lipa) and Balance Ton Quoi. With screens, lit-up steps and a whole troop of dancers, Angèle pulled all the spots for a massive production, worthy of some of the biggest tours we’re seeing at the moment. She captivated her audience in her Chanel outfit, dancing non-stop and charming the crowd. The evening ended on a high note with Bruxelles Je T’aime, a love letter to her hometown.
Angèle’s Nonante Cinq Tour will be playing at the Bell Center again tomorrow night! For tickets and more info, visit her website.
