Jeff Catto, Winner of the 2022 GMA Covenant Awards for both Country Artist and Country Song of the Year, releases a new single- “Livin’ My Best Life”
Jeff Catto is a dynamic Alberta-based songwriter and producer from Owen Sound, Ontario. His new single, “Livin’ My Best Life,” is a cheeky song about running into your ex when you visit your small-town home.
“I have exes in my hometown, and my hometown is small, so there is always the possibility of running into one of them,” Jeff says through a smile, ”so I thought it would be fun to write about how it would be kind of awkward to run into one or two in particular.”
They say the best revenge is living a happy life, well this hooky, upbeat summer song is sure to grab your attention with lyrics, “Oh I am, living my BEST life up in the clouds, None of your RAIN can bring me down today, just wait, cause everything’s looking up my way, I’ve got a new LOVE, and she’s all sun,” referring to the brand new love in his life.
Co-written by CCMA award winner Hailey Benedict, this song is catchy and ready to hit hard in all the right places with those who want to celebrate new love.
Catto has been writing songs for over 18 years, getting his start in music at just 16 when he auditioned for Canadian Idol. The experience ignited his passion for music and kick-started his music career.
In 2018 he was nominated for the CGMA “Best New Artist” category.
Last year, in November 2022, he was thrilled to win awards in two categories, Best Country Artist and Best Country Song of the Year, for “Dangerous With Your Love,” featuring Catto, Jonathan Turner, and Josh Fata.
His latest EP, Neon Cathedrals, delivers an infectious blend of singer-songwriter pop/rock country mixed with Gospel roots that have been influenced by and compared to notable artists like Dierks Bentley, Niko Moon, and Needtobreathe.
This past year Catto has gone through the heartbreak of divorce and says the timing is right for new music and new songs surrounding new life and new love, “you never hope for a relationship to end, but we both knew the time was coming and with that, a new voice has emerged from the wreckage…one that I hope resonates with my audience and perhaps a new one as well.”
Catto’s earlier releases carried breakout singles “Round Of Life,” “Want You Even More,” and “Friend,” with the latter spending significant time on Sirius XM as well as landing on over 500 stations globally, including Canada, USA, and Australia.
