Frail Fragment

Frail Fragment – E-Fragments (Album Review) + Five Questions With

Band: Frail Fragment
Album: E-Fragments
Release Date: May 4, 2022
Genre: Rock

Frail Fragment was formed in 2005 in Toronto with songwriter Len Lamanna. The band’s latest and 5th full-length album, E-Fragments, was released on May 4th, 2022, on Len Lamanna’s 40th Star Wars Birthday. The album is available on all media platforms.

The twelve-song release shows different sides of Frail Fragment, from mellow to heavy rock, and even some pop elements are thrown in there.

“The Bleeding Dark” is a beautifully crafted and introspective song highlighting the band’s ability to compose poignant lyrics and a laid-back rhythm. Lamanna’s understated vocals pair perfectly with the catchy instrumentation throughout the track. The repetitive lyrics of the chorus, “The bleeding dark, Take over me,” reminiscent of a chant, along with the rhythmic instrumentation, evokes an entrancing vibe.

For another side of Frail Fragment, “Wash Her Dry Her” is a heavier, grittier metal-infused track. The vocals on this track share electronic, metal, and screamo influences and would appeal to fans of all hard rock genres. Unlike “The Bleeding Dark’s” clear vocals, this track focuses more on the vocal stylings, which meld with the music expertly.

Overall, E-Fragments takes you on an epic listening journey, which winds and curves through genres and expectations, taking the listener to new, almost experimental heights from one song to the next.
