Last night, Belgian singer and songwriter Angèle started her North American Nonante-Cinq tour at the Queen Elizabeth Theatre in Vancouver, BC.

For 2 hours, she entertained the mainly French-speaking audience with fan-favorite hits like Balance Ton Quoi, Libre, Demons, Ta Reine, and Fever (featuring a bigger-than-life Dua Lipa on a 5m high LED screen), as well as newer titles such as Pensées Positives, Taxi, Profite… Her band and six dancers accompanied her for most of the show, solidifying her pop star status. Halfway through the show, she stood by herself on stage with her piano and played an entertaining rendition of Britney Spears’ Baby One More Time.

While she seemed anxious about performing for the first time in North America, the fans immediately welcomed her with loud screams and waving Belgian flags. She and her crew were in high spirits throughout the night, engaging with the audience quite often.

You can catch Angèle in the USA & Canada until early May. She will stop by the Centre Bell in Montréal on April 29th & 30th.
