Tonight, South Korean hip hop trio Epik High brought the good vibes to a packed MTelus!

In true KPop (or KHipHop?) tradition, there was no opening act for the band, but a quirky video with the two rappers Tablo and Mithra Jin chatting about Montreal, interlaced with memes. After a quick break, the band arrived on stage to a frenzy of fans, opening with the catchy Strawberry. The setlist was packed with classics like Catch, Rain Song and Own My Way, which the fans knew every lyric to and screamed back at them. The band also took breaks to interact between themselves and with the crowd, making the experience all that more casual and intimate.

Epik High has been in the game for 20 years, but their All Time High Tour had the energy of up-and-coming sensations! The chemistry between the two rappers and their DJ Tukutz was undeniable, the flow of Tablo and Mithra Jin was like no other, and tonight was a masterclass proving that hip-hop doesn’t have to come from our side of the globe to pack a punch.
