Jay Kutcher shares his debut country single, “Another You”
Praised Quebec pop artist Jay Kutcher releases country debut single “Another You.” 10 years after being discovered on the first season of the hit TV show La Voix as one of the four finalists and having released three successful albums, the French singer-songwriter found the missing piece to his musical journey by finding where his unique voice truly belongs.
After over a decade of trying to fit in and taking the path that was put in front of him, Jay finally decided to listen to his heart and follow his gut. Singing along to his personal favorites Brett Young, Keith Urban, and Zac Brown Band, Jay fell in love with country music and found it to be the perfect home for his tone and personal lyrics.
“Another You” is a pop country track about realizing you can’t forget or replace someone you let go of. Produced by Nashville-based Canadian producer Danick Dupelle, the song is accompanied by a music video filmed in Waterloo (QC), where a young woman is confronted with bittersweet memories of a past relationship. Written by Trent Harmon, Michael Lotten, and Jeffrey East, Another You is the first release of a 6-song country debut EP expected later this year.

“Another You” is the perfect introduction to Jay Kutcher’s foray into country music. Kutcher’s vocal range is beyond impressive, and his vocals are soulful and tender and, at the same time, powerful.
The track begins with a smooth, mellow beat, but as the song progresses, it adds layers of intense emotional depth to the mix, capturing the pain of lost love, which cannot be replaced.
The chorus, “Should’ve known babe, That nothing on this earth could ever replace, The feeling that I got floating round your space, Seeing all that’s out there I’ve discovered, (Yeah) there were others, but never another you,” gave me goosebumps on the first listen. What a way to perfectly sum up the feeling of love or soulmates and then the struggle to move on from it.
“Another You” is a moving and well-crafted country ballad that leaves the listener craving more from Jay Kutcher.
