Sit back, and enjoy Zach’s Picks of the Week
Are you ready for Music Mondays to arrive with a full plate of new music? Great, because the wait is over, and here comes Zach’s Picks Of The Week! The five top articles I picked for this week are on Canadian Beats Media. You will find the links to each of these articles in this post, but you’re also more than welcome just to check out this week’s video, which features clips from each of my recommendations. Watch the video below, and I encourage you to check out all these artists/groups. This will be part one for this week, I’m heading your way to a concert, and I wanted to make sure I was prepared ahead. So please tune in next week for part two and see who else I featured besides these five artists.
Five
To begin the list of new music coming from our website will be one of our segments, “Zoomies.” It’s our zoom interview with Vancouver-based pop-rock act, The Vidos. Recently they released a new album, Right In The Kisser, to all streaming platforms via Rock Is Dead Records and 604 Records. It brings to life the groovy, high-energy tracks that have wowed live audiences since the band’s inception back in their high school days. The interview was conducted by our chief, Jenna Melanson, and you can find it here.
Four
Next up is the latest from country songstress Kalsey Kulyk. Her new single is a statement that she will not rekindle an old flame that has died. Their just “Ain’t Enough Whiskey” to make that happen, but you can listen to the new single across all streaming sites. This barn burner anti-ex anthem offers a fun, lighthearted spin on putting your foot down with a former love. You can listen to the new song when you visit the article of our recent mini-interview with Kalsey Kulyk here.
Three
Moving into our top three for this week brings us a mix of blues with just the dash of punk to mix it up. Toronto-based band Redpath Traffic is here with their unique blend of original music in the form of their latest single. “Hey Mona!” is available now across all streaming platforms and is the storyteller’s yearning feelings for the company of love lost. It represents all that seemed distant, Indifferent, unattainable, and beyond our control to keep for ourselves. But it was written and produced to reignite hope, even in our most profound moments of despair. Listen to the newest single by Redpath Traffic called “Hey Mona!” and check out the interview here.
Two
Now making our way into my top two for this week brings us back Alt-Pop rising Vancouver-based star, MAUVEY. He shares his latest single, “WE HAD THE TIME OF OUR LIVES TOGETHER,” to all streaming sites, including his stunning collaboration with electro-pop powerhouse Lights. This new song is from MAUVEY’s forthcoming EP, BEFORE THE ALBUM II, which we can expect to be released later this year via 604 Records. He will also perform on a couple of upcoming US tour dates with July Talk. Head over to our article, where you can check out the visualizer for the new single and see the dates that he will be performing here.
One
Now we have reached my final choice of the week coming from our website of new music. We will be introduced to the country duo Five Roses from Montreal this time. Their latest single will have you falling in love with “Sweetheart Of Summer,” available across all streaming platforms via MDM Recordings Inc. / Universal Music Canada. It’s an upbeat summertime song as sweet as it gets. Fans will be humming it in anticipation of those nostalgic summer nights. This will be the first release from the Jukebox Vibrations EP, set for an April release. Check out the article and listen to the new single, “Sweetheart Of Summer” by Five Roses, here.
I hope you enjoyed all or even just one of my recommendations from this week’s edition of Zach’s Picks Of The Week. There are so many more articles that are being posted every single day here on our website. So explore the rest of the website if you found nothing in this post. Also, you should tune in next music Monday because I will give you five new recommendations. They will be part two of this week’s recommendations. That’s it for this week’s post, be sure to spread some love out there and tell your friends about the music. But for now, PEACE, LOVE, AND GOOD MUSIC, EVERYONE!!
