2022 was a monumental year for SACHA. It included an international tour, her first CCMA award and she was crowned the SiriusXM Top of the Country winner. Canada’s fastest-rising star is kicking off 2023 with the release of her new single “Confident.” Vancouver-born singer-songwriter Tyler Shaw joins SACHA on the track. This powerful song puts the importance of mental health at its forefront, an issue both SACHA and Shaw are passionate about. The pair came together through the powerful message behind the song and the mutual desire to normalize the struggles we all face.
Written by Griffen Palmer (Chelsea Cutler, Keith Urban, Florida Georgia Line, The Band CAMINO) and Geoff Warburton (Shawn Mendes, Five Seconds of Summer), the vulnerable, anthemic new single gives fans a look at another side of SACHA’s musical breadth.
SACHA shares this of her new single,
“This song hits home for me when it comes to my personal journey in becoming CONFIDENT, which is still on-going. I hope that many will resonate with the lyrics and find comfort and peace knowing that they are not alone and that this is a common struggle we’ve all faced, especially over the last few years. Having Tyler join me on such an important song is an honour and I hope “Confident” can help anyone who hears it find their strength, just like it has helped me.”
Coming off his own sold-out national headlining tour for his self-titled third studio album, Shaw is also no stranger to success with over ten Top 10 singles in Canada and multiple GOLD and PLATINUM-certified tracks to his name.
Shaw shares his thoughts about “Confidence,”
“I was drawn to the message behind this song and happy to work with SACHA on such an empowering anthem. Confidence, for me, is really about what we can see in ourselves over time and overcoming internal challenges to build ourselves up. I really like the dynamic of a male and female artists duetting together. Everyone deserves to feel confident.”

Hi all. I’m Nanci Dagg. I am from Winnipeg, Manitoba, and have lived my entire life here. There is nothing I like better than supporting local artists followed by supporting Canadian artists. Although I was a classic rock gal, my go to genre is country. Something about this music that just makes me feel great. I can be found at most country music concerts and shows (from someone’s house to really large venues) taking lots of pictures. Music and photography are two of my passions. Add to this mix, writing about artists, well let’s say, life doesn’t get better than this.
