Naol’s seven-song album, Perpetual speaks on mental illness, losing loved ones, and more

Canadian singer-songwriter, rapper, and producer Naol has released his debut album, Perpetual. Inspired by his life experiences to date, the album compiles seven songs that speak about his difficulties with pain, guilt, and suicide.

Speaking on his album, Naol shares,

“The idea behind the album is to talk about the perpetuity of the pain & struggles I experience in life such as suicidal thoughts, my mental illness, losing my father & grandma to liver cancer, etc. Some people think I’m okay on the surface, however, it’s a facade, and I have to continually fight my problems on a daily basis among other issues that arise in my life. Perpetual was another cathartic project I made like my last, Dismal Summer, it’s a continual reminder of how music should always be a creative outlet and be a way to share your experiences in a universal medium.”
