On November 16, Dublin indie band The Coronas played a sold-out show at the Commodore Ballroom in Vancouver, BC.
Fellow Irish singer and sister to The Coronas’ lead vocalist, Roisin O, opened the evening. Accompanied only by her guitar and sometimes her keyboard, she shared songs from her first album, The Secret Life of Blue, as well as her sophomore album, Courageous.
Around 9:30 pm, The Coronas finally took the stage. The band is made up of Danny O’Reilly, Graham Knox, and Conor Egan. The three original band members were accompanied by Lar Kane, Dave O’Keefe, and Roison O. They started their set with the songs “Don’t You say You are In Love” and “Strive” off their new album, Time Stopped. The predominantly Irish crowd remained loud and in good spirits throughout the night as the band performed material from both their older albums and their new one, Time Stopped, written during the pandemic.
