Katelyn Lehner has unveiled her debut EP, 10 Bucks
Saskatchewan-based recording artist Katelyn Lehner has unleashed her debut EP, 10 Bucks. She debuted at the Calgary Stampede as direct support for Blue Rodeo and played in front of over 33,000 people at the Saskatchewan Roughrider’s Labour Day Classic Halftime show.
“Saskatchewan has some of the biggest football fans in Canada, and playing during a Rider game has been in a goal of mine for a while. The fact that it was the Labour Day Classic and that I could debut my new single “This Bar” was the icing on the cake and a special memory I’ll always have with my band, family, and friends.”
Writing all four tracks on the project, the emerging country musician continues to showcase her musical and stylistic growth as an artist. Produced by Bart McKay (Brett Kissel, Don Amero, The Prairie States), the EP takes you through the ups and downs of love and relationships while staying true to her previous Billboard charting single “Without You,” being confident in yourself first.
“10 Bucks” was released at the start of summer and was the artist’s first track to gain traction on Spotify Editorial Playlists. Being placed on “Live Country” and “Equal Canada” introduced Lehner to a brand-new set of listeners around Canada.
“Matter of Wine” was the first track to be released in this collection in Spring of this year and is the only co-written song on the EP with Aaron Pollock. The Music Video for this track premiered during the Saskatchewan Country Music Awards Live show in April. The song was featured on major Amazon Music Country Playlists, including “Just North of Nashville,” Canada & USA, and “Breakthrough Country,” generating thousands of streams.
“All Mine” is the brand-new track that listeners will receive with the full EP. With her last two singles being all about confidence, she takes a turn with this ballad and lets her listeners into the moments of heartbreak and self-doubt. This track showcases Lehner’s vocals while telling the story of the universal feeling of seeing your ex for the first time with someone new.
“This Bar” was the 3rd and final single to be released in preparation for the full EP. Lehner was able to premier this track in front of over 33,000 people during the Saskatchewan Roughriders Labour Day Classic Halftime show, days before the official release. This track was picked up on release day by Spotify Canada’s “New Music Friday,” where Lehner was included with notable artists like Kane Brown, John Legend, and Lewis Capaldi.
