Chèlle releases the haunting single, “Think Of Me”
Up-and-coming Toronto artist Chèlle releases “Think of Me,” a jaw-dropping R&B and Rock-inspired single whose story is based on the true life events of a convicted murderer. Just in time for Halloween, this song not only hooks you in the second the verse begins, but the twist of an ending truly makes this song feel like a journey from start to finish. Inspired by songwriting greats such as Taylor Swift and Billie Eilish, Chèlle’s strong vocals, accompanied by the clean electric guitar, is simple yet powerful. The themes of love, betrayal, and murder will leave you craving more.
Chèlle shares on the single,
“‘Think Of Me’ was one of the fastest songs I have ever written. That’s when I usually know it’s going to be a good one.
I was highly inspired by the captivating storytelling of Taylor Swift’s “No Body No Crime”. I loved the anticipation of aching to know how the story was going to end, and the twist that came with it. It nearly put my jaw on the floor. I knew that I wanted to have that effect on someone listening to my music.
Think Of Me is based on the true story of a convicted murder. I wanted to have my audience go through the roller coaster emotions that they experienced, all leading up to that fatal day. I believe it definitely captivates the listener and hooks them in the second they hear the first verse.
If you listen to the rest of my repertoire, you would see that this song is very different from the rest. Many people have asked me if I’m switching genres, and to be honest, I can’t answer that. I am in the process of experimenting with different sounds and as an independent artist, I am fortunate enough to be able to do so. I write music based on how I’m feeling that day. This time, it was a R&B/ rock tune… and I think I did a damn good job at it.”
