Breakout Canadian country artist, SACHA has released her sophomore EP, We Did. On top of this, she has also unveiled her single, “We Did”. The very personal title track “We Did” is a nostalgic telling of young love. The release also marks SACHA’s debut with Starseed Entertainment and only a small peek into what she has coming this Fall when she drops her debut full-length album.
“I love the fact that storytelling is the foundation of country music and that I have been given the opportunity to tell mine with this new music,” said SACHA of her 4-track release. “‘We Did’” has this T-Swift, fall hard, first love, shot to the heart, nostalgic, energy to it. It’s the type of music I’ve always wanted to release. With these new tracks, I can’t help but feel I’m releasing music that speaks to who I am, which is a new feeling for me. I’m so excited for everyone to hear it. ”

Care to introduce yourself to our readers?
Hey! I’m Sacha and I’m a country artist currently living in southern Ontario. I grew up in the small town of Warkworth Ontario where I got a heavy dose of country music and country living. Coming from a musical household where my parents had a band and music was a way of life from early childhood, it comes as no surprise that I find myself living and following my dreams in a music career. It has certainly been a long time coming honing my craft and evolving as an artist which is beginning to pay off with recent acknowledgements such as my induction to CMT’s Next Women Of Country class of 2021 and Sounds Like Nashville’s Artist to watch 2022.
Tell us a bit about your most recent release.
My latest release is a four-song EP that gives you a further look behind the scenes of some of my personal story, some of which speaks of the nostalgia of young love and all the initial feelings when you fall hard for someone depicted in the title track WE DID. Then there’s PRETTY PLEASE, which makes room for vulnerability and the challenges of establishing confidence given today’s standards of beauty. IF I WANTED WINE, is an unapologetic fireball of sass, lyrically and sonically, and What The Truck is that carefree, play on repeat, feel-good remedy that achieved certified gold status having went viral last summer. I am so honoured to have collaborated with the Reklaws on What The Truck and included this song my EP.
When it comes to the global pandemic, how are you keeping yourself out in the public eye while not being able to perform?
Social media, zoom meetings, and virtual performances have been the main avenues to keep everyone engaged and informed when it comes to music, announcements and performances.
Canadian Beats is all about Canadian music, so if you were able to work with ONE fellow Canadian artist, alive or dead, who would you choose?
If I were able to work with any Fellow Canadian Artist it would be hands down Shania Twain!!!
What’s your goal for 2022?
A few of my goals for 2022 would be to hit the airwaves with a new single, work towards my full-length album with an incredible team of writers, play as many shows as possible and continue to expand and connect with my audience domestically and globally.
