What’s going on music fans and welcome back to Music Monday here on Canadian Beats! Well, it looks like things are changing up around here, so I’ve decided to transform these little segments of mine into something real. Introducing Zach’s Picks of the Week, my list of recommended articles and posts that came out this last week on the website. These are all hand-picked by yours truly, so you know it’s going to be good at least. So without further ado let’s check out this week’s video down below.
Starting things out we’ve got this Five Questions With segment with Manitoba country singer-songwriter Brandi Vezina. She recently dropped her debut album, #DontSettle on all streaming sites. She collaborated with multiple producers on this album and writes about her dating experiences, for women to stand up and be empower by themselves. There is plenty to learn from this incredibly talented singer, just be sure to visit the link right here to the Five Questions With segment. My personal favourite from this album was “Alberta Rose” which you can have a listen to right here.
Another Five Questions With segment worth checking out this week is with China-born, but Toronto-based pop artists Denim Blú. Just talking about life and his new single “Extraordinary Feel” which is available now on all streaming sites. It features the amazing Lizzy Clarke, but If you’d like to learn more visit the link right here to the Five Questions With segment. But right now you can check out his latest single “Extraordinary Feel” here.
Next, we have the new album review done Migs Lava for Montreal trio Ivytide‘s third EP called “softy”. It’s available everywhere you can listen to music these days, but I think the album was properly named. Migs describes it, “softy is well named as the album slips into your eardrums and wraps around you like a downy comforter”. Be sure to check out her review through the link right here, I guarantee you won’t regret it. My personal favourite was the second song in the EP called rent-free which you can check out here.
Concerts are back baby!! Plus we’ve got lots of coverage over on our website. Our very own Daniel Dorta was in Toronto for a full night of Country music fun! Canadian country icon Dean Brody brings the party back to the stage. Bring along a couple of his friends, Nate Haller, Jade Eagleson and The Reklaws to make it a real party! You can check out the full album coverage or our Facebook page, but also check out Daniels highlights in the article here.
That is going to Zach’s Picks of the Week everyone, I hope you find something to your liking. Be sure to tune in to the show next Music Monday, I will have lots more for you. Stay safe out there everybody, and remember to spread the love, not the bugs! PEACE, LOVE AND GOOD MUSIC TO ALL!!
