Winnipeg Musicians Release Isolation Compilation for Charity

Inservice Records is proud to present Homemade Winnipeg: An Isolation Compilation, 16 tracks from Winnipeg artists to benefit the West End Cultural Centre.

Created (mostly) in quarantine during the 2020 pandemic, Homemade Winnipeg features over an hour of brand new music from New Wales (ex-Quinzy), Paige Drobot, Colour By Numbers, Andy Cole (ex-Eagle Lake Owls), Hearing Trees, Olivia Sea, Ryan Stanley Shodine, jonny moonbeam, The Famous Sandhogs, Midnight Review Presents, Portables, and a group of people who covered “Bohemian Rhapsody” in Klingon. It also features previously released tracks from Red Moon Road, Greg Rekus, futurekids and Grotoko. Some of these songs were made over Zoom or email, while others were performed solo in front of a mic in isolation.

Available as a pay-what-you-can download via Bandcamp, all proceeds from Homemade Winnipeg will go to benefit The West End Cultural Centre, a great venue and charity. Assembling this collection of new music from some of Winnipeg’s favourite artists is a great way to come together and celebrate the resilience of the local music scene!
