The Project WILD Country Artist Development Program kicked off its final season, on Monday, as submissions are now open for Albertan artists.
The program, born from a collaboration between the Alberta Music Industry Association and Calgary radio station WILD 95.3, Project WILD aims to seek out the province’s most promising new talent in country music.
In it’s seventh and final year, Project WILD is set to give out over $200,000 in prizes to the artists who make it to the final stage of the program.
“Alberta Music is proud to once again be working with WILD 95.3 to administer what can essentially be a life-changing program for artists,” says Carly Klassen, Executive Director of Alberta Music. “Project WILD is often a deeply transformative experience for all of the Top 12 artists, whether or not they ultimately leave with the prize money. We can’t wait to hear Alberta’s talent this year!”
Artist submissions are now open at www.projectwildcountry.com, until April 5 at 11:59 p.m. MT.
The Top 12 Artist selection will be announced on Sunday, May 31, live on WILD 95.3.
