Canadian Roots, Country, Blues artist Suitcase Sam has unveiled the remastered/ repackaged EP, Get It To Go via Curve Music.
While he’s no stranger to the music scene as he’s opened for the likes of Courtney Barnett, Elliot Brood, Benjamin Booker and more, this may be the first you’ve heard of him, but I can guarantee it won’t be the last.
Suitcase Sam is set to release his debut full-length album, Goodnight Riverdale Park via Curve Music in the fall, and if you enjoyed his EP, you should definitely keep an eye out for that.

Care to introduce yourself to our readers?
Suitcase Sam is a constant eccentric who is never tardy and certainly earlier than these times would knowingly permit. He can be rowdy and rambunctious, or reflective and somber. He is the something else you are searching for.
Tell us a bit about your music and writing style.
Suitcase Sam is a musical chameleon who is firmly rooted in the early 20th-century American music of Jazz and Ragtime, Country and the Blues. He draws upon these archetypes and distills them until they are something wholly unique and original. Something entirely Sam.
Do you have any upcoming shows? For someone who has yet to see you live, how would you explain your live performance?
July 25 at the Cameron House in Toronto. I’d describe the live show as organic, unpredictable and always different.
If you were asked to suggest only one of your songs for someone to hear, which would it be?

Canadian Beats is all about Canadian music, so who are your current favourite Canadian bands/ artists?
a. David Francey: his songs reflect a Canadian condition which is so often unrepresented in the Canadian musical landscape. He is this generation’s Gordon Lightfoot.
