STRAY VIEW ANNOUNCES ALL NEW EP: DISPLACE/ERASE OUT OCT. 18, 2024
Stray View are stampeding into a new era with a raucous rock anthem for the ages. Today, the band brings to the table their latest single “Forget It,” which just so happens to be an unforgettable track that will have fans listening non-stop. With “Forget It,” Stray View aims to solidify their place in the rock landscape, as frontman Dave Escamilla delivers a captivating vocal performance, echoing the song’s message of letting go of the past and embracing new beginnings. It’s a particularly special song for the band, as it was the first song Escamilla penned front to back with the intention of stepping out on his own, and helped spur the formation of Stray View. After rising to fame as part of Crown The Empire, Escamilla is stepping out on his own in a big way with Stray View and the band’s momentum is unstoppable.
Stray View shares,
“Forget It has a lot of significance for Stray View. It was essentially the inception of the entire project because it was the first song I (Dave) had written, front to back, for the purpose of starting the journey to find a band and create a new project. The elements I used in the production set the tone of the environment I was trying to create and even the guitar tones I used were established in a unique way to create a sound I had been striving for. Most importantly, I worked extremely hard to write melodies that I felt pushed the boundaries of my abilities. Which in turn, made it feel like I made the song exactly how it needed to be. Elevated and filled with potential.”
The band shares on upcoming EP,
“The songs on the EP are a product of Brandon and I rediscovering ourselves as musicians and people. It’s years of effort that led to those songs. They are everything we have been striving for individually and as a band and they will always be special to us because it will forever remind us of how we got to this point.”
