Talia Schlanger releases new single, “See You Home”

Talia Schlanger Releases New Single “See You Home” From Debut Album, Grace for the Going Out On February 2, 2024

Talia Schlanger offers up a personal and extraordinarily moving new single from her beautiful forthcoming debut album, Grace for the Going, with a new single, “See You Home.” She shares it with a prayer for peace and safety for all. “See You Home” tracks the journey of Talia’s Bobba (grandmother) as she, along with her husband and young daughter (Talia’s aunt) crossed the Atlantic on a ship, after surviving the Holocaust. The track features intimate vocals, bass clarinet played by Cuddle Magic’s Alec Spiegelman, and a rare instrument played using water, by Marc Chouarain called the Cristal Baschet.

“The journey was hard,” says Talia. “The waves were huge, the ship swerved from side to side – and my Bobba had this sensation that she was sinking. So she made a promise to her daughter that if the ocean tried to swallow them, with her very last breath she would hold my aunt high up above the water, and she would be saved. My Bobba died when I was 14. I heard this story for the first time at her funeral. I wish I could go back and ask her so many questions. About everything.”

Talia debuted her first single “Attention” in September with a sold-out showcase at The Rivoli, where she previewed a mix of covers and other cuts from, Grace for the Going, which is confirmed for release on February 2, 2024, via Latent Recordings. Talia will support Terra Lightfoot solo on select dates starting tonight. And, Talia has confirmed a very special album release show at the new, state-of-the-art, 500-capacity, TD Music Hall (178 Victoria Street) on February 15, 2024. Tickets for general are on sale now.
