Vancouver, BC’s country singer-songwriter Shawn Austin has unveiled his four-song EP, Dirt Roads Downtown.
Produced by Scott Cooke, there is no question that the EP is home to Austin’s most honest songs yet. Blending his signature heartfelt lyrics with pop-driven production, tracks “Missin’ You” and “Lonely With Me” come to life complements of the chart-topping artist’s distinctive, husky vocal grit. Easy-breezy, soon-to-be summer hit “Settle For A Drink” reveals pieces of the inspiration Austin found on the road over the last 12 months.
“This past year has been the most exciting ride of my career and it’s wild to know it’s just the beginning,” said Austin. “I am so proud of this new collection of songs and can’t wait for fans to hear them. This is the start of our next chapter and I couldn’t think of a better way to celebrate that than debuting this new music at The Calgary Stampede. I guess it’s fair to say we’re off to the races!”
