Tim Baker unveils his album, The Festival

Tim Baker celebrates the release of his new solo Album, The Festival. Released on October 21st, this sophomore release follows his acclaimed 2019 solo debut, Forever Overhead, voted “Folk Album of the Year” by Exclaim! and “Album of the Year” in 2019 by CBC Music.

This album was powered by the idea of connection and made in the most isolating of environments. This allowed Baker to create his own version of what The Festival could be. This was one he hoped to eventually share with fans and friends, once again in open rooms and in jubilant celebrations.

Accompanying this release is the official music video for “Some Day.”

According to Baker, “Some Day” is a track that is simply about the desire to start again one day, somewhere new, where you can be a better version of yourself.

The video itself was “a staggeringly ambitious bit of fun dreamt up with director Sean Cullen,”  explains Baker. It combined Cullen’s creative mind with the hard work of Daniel Pianezza and others at Breathe Entertainment.

Baker remains a “prolific wild-eyed dreamer” and “has returned with The Festival, a sonic embrace, a call in for love, and a cry out for connection. He wants us to bring our pain and suffering and align it all with melody. The Festival is a polychromatic album of redemption, joy, release, and intrinsic connection.”

Baker has a North American Fall tour planned with dates across the country. For upcoming dates, starting in November, Tim has partnered with the PLUS1 Climate Fund so that $1 per ticket goes to supporting grassroots organizations working to mitigate the current climate crisis and build a sustainable future for all.
