FADI KOD recently unveiled his single, “Wala3”
Montreal, QC-based FADI KOD, also known as “KOD” or dubbed by many “KING OF DRUMS,” is the stage name of Fadi Abou-Nassif, a Canadian of Lebanese origins. FADI KOD is a live performer and is recognized as a percussionist/ singer/ producer.
On September 1, he released his newest single, “Wala3,” as the title says; it comes from the Arabic word for burning it up! Performed by FADI KOD featuring Suro, the song is a mixture of afro/Latin/Arabic/pop vibe, and the video is a showcase of a party mood of beautiful people, sport motorcycles, and luxury cars in a very rustic environment mixed with sensuality and fire in a warehouse yard.

Care to introduce yourself to our readers?
Hey everyone, this is your boy FADI KOD composer, songwriter, producer, and drummer dubbed the King Of Drums. Been touring around the world for over 20 years performing in every corner of the globe for many of the world’s celebrities.
Tell us a bit about your most recent release.
The latest release, “Wala3,” as the title says it, comes from the Arabic word for burning it up! Featuring my friend Suro from Los Angeles, California, the song is a mixture of afro/Latin/Arabic/pop vibe, and the video is a showcase of a party mood of beautiful people, sport motorcycle, and luxury cars in a very rustic environment mixed with sensuality and fire in a warehouse yard.
Where do you tend to pull inspiration from when writing?
My inspiration comes mostly from things that happened in my life, whether it’s pain, joy, happiness, or simply life. But first, it always starts with sounds in my head… I’m all about getting the feeling through notes. Notes speak for themselves but then after, I add the words to complete that feeling so people can relay to it. Some people feel the music, and some people feel the words. Most of my songs are in languages that most of the listeners don’t understand, but through the sound and the notes, they feel every word said.
Do you have any upcoming shows or festivals you’d like to tell us about?
October 21st will be the launching of my concert tour, IT’S ABOUT TIME, featuring most of the artists I collaborate with. Eventually, this concert will go on for each new song, and new artists will be added along the way. In 2023, I’m looking forward to many cultural festivals between Canada and USA. Stay tuned.
What’s your goal for the remainder of 2022?
Well, it is to set the ground for what’s upcoming in 2023… Covid was a major setback, and being able to catch up will take many years, so this year I take it as a year to reset the clock and start again, delivering the most I can to my fans and followers. Let’s hope they will enjoy all the new upcoming content.
