This time in Don Amero’s life has to be the best yet, with three major events happening at the same time – a new single, a first book, and a Canadian tour
First, Winnipeg’s own JUNO and CCMA awards-nominated country artist Don Amero released his latest single via MDM Recordings Inc./Universal Music Canada on October 14 and proves that it “Ain’t Too Late” to keep the night going. This high-energy track is infused with a rock guitar downbeat, lighthearted lyrics, and high-octane vocals that will have fans and listeners second-guessing leaving too soon. This latest single is the lead track off Amero’s forthcoming EP, set to be released in early 2023.
Says Amero of his song,
“This is one of those instant jam songs; I love the rocking guitars and energy of it. In a day and age where there’s a lot going on in the world, a song like this reminds me to just take it one day at a time and enjoy all the moments we have with each other!”

Onto the second and newest addition to Amero’s repertoire of brilliance. As many of you know, he is one of the most captivating storytellers around and has taken that talent one step further as he adds author to his growing resume. Amero just announced the upcoming release of his first children’s book, These Roots Of Love. Illustrated by Melissa Baker Nguyen, Amero penned These Roots Of Love and has it narrated from the perspective of Kookum, the Cree name for grandmother. It tells the story of a little acorn in a lovely, quiet field that starts off small but grows into a big, beautiful mother tree, nurturing those around her with her roots of love.

Don Amero, who is a storyteller, singer-songwriter, performer, activist, and now an author, has been tirelessly touring, performing, and speaking across Canada for the last decade, has earned the respect and attention of the Canadian music industry and fans alike. With that being said comes the third of Amero’s “things to do in 2022,” and that shows he has no signs of slowing down for the remainder of the year. He is currently on the road across Canada with country band Tim & The Glory Boys (their latest single is ”Float”) as direct support on their Home-Town Hoedown Tour, and he’s having a blast.

This is a repeat that is well-deserving. Last month, Amero launched Through The Fire, a new podcast featuring engaging conversations with an array of Canadian public figures, including musicians, athletes, activists, and more. Through The Fire focuses on the journey one takes to overcome adversity while re-framing ideas around misfortune and celebrating the courage required to make it through. With the rare ability to effortlessly and genuinely connect with his audience, Amero, who is of Cree and Métis heritage, sees Through The Fire as an opportunity to show the multitude of ways humans both face and overcome hardship.
