Canadian rock band, Monster Truck are back with Warriors
JUNO Award-winning rock band Monster Truck have unveiled their fourth full-length album, Warriors.
The 10-track album, produced by multiple GRAMMY and JUNO Award-winning producer Eric Ratz (Arkells, Big Wreck, Billy Talent), is everything you would expect from Monster Truck and more, bringing the band’s signature, riff-driven brand of rock to new heights.
The album includes their singles, “Fuzz Mountain,” “Golden Woman,” and “Get My Things & Go.”

First off, care to introduce yourself to our readers?
My name is Jon Harvey, and I am a musician/artist whose main gig is the singer and bass player in Monster Truck.
You have unveiled your album Warriors. What can you tell us about the writing process behind the album?
The writing process for Warriors happened over many years. I tend to always be writing songs, so right after we finished our last album, I started envisioning where it was going to go. As we put tracks together and learned songs that I brought to the table, the album started to take shape. I actually wrote the song “Warriors” after we thought we were finished! So, the short answer, it’s an ongoing process.
You worked with Eric Ratz on the album. How was that experience?
Working with Ratzy is always my favourite! This was our third full length with him producing, and it’s always a joy. Ratz is a huge reason that Monster Truck sounds how we do. His sonic palette is beautiful.
You have previously released the singles “Golden Woman,” “Get My Things & Go,” and “Fuzz Mountain,” what made you choose these tracks as singles?
To be honest, we didn’t. The label and radio marketing group did. Although our manager and myself were very adamant about “Golden Woman” releasing first, I think it’s a great example of the record as a whole, and it just totally rips.
What else can we expect from you in 2022?
We’re priming up the machine right now. COVID left us, and a lot of bands, re-evaluating their position on their touring cycles. We’re easing back in. Lots of bands are going full tilt out of the gate, but that’s just not our style. We start our UK tour in two weeks, and then a few gigs close to home to end the year.
