Montreal-based Neo-Soul/R&B artist SAJAA. is redefining timeless storytelling with a fresh, modern edge—anchored by her soulful, smoky jazz voice. Now, she returns with “Martini,” the second single from her upcoming EP, “Vivid Dreams and Intuitions”, set for release on September 12, 2025.
“Martini” is a soulful reflection on the bittersweet moment of reconnecting with a past love—the flicker of flirtation, unspoken memories, and the realization it may be the last time. It’s a farewell letter to what once was, honoring the joy and heartbreak that lingers.
“To create a deeply nostalgic sound, I found inspiration within the greats: Aretha Franklin, The Dramatics, Earth Wind & Fire, Aaron Neville and The Temptations,”” explains SAJAA. “When I wrote Martini, I wanted to find groove and power amidst tenderness, which is not the easiest thing to do, and these artists do it brilliantly.”
With the support of producer Clayton Connell, musical director Paul Charles, and vocal director Lorviéna Daphné Louis, SAJAA. has brought this nostalgic, heartfelt vision to life.
