That you’re gonna know about before your friends, then you can rub it in their face when they don’t know what is best to listen to these days. You’ll be able to find a link to each of these individual articles below, in the post you’re reading from. But I also recommend you go check out the rest of our awesome website for all kinds of content. Be sure to follow us on our social media platforms, because we post all new stuff all the time. However, without wasting any more time, let’s get right into my list for the best new music!! It’s Zach’s Picks Of The Week!!
Five
Beginning this week’s list, Ladysmith B.C.-based singer/songwriter Ryan McMahon. Being one of Canada‘s most promising new voices within the Americana scene, his latest offering “Driveway” is out now. It addresses the dual themes of life on the road and the new beginnings. Coming off his latest album “Live Now,” which you can find across all streaming platforms. However, you’ll be able to check out the lyric video for “Driveway,” when you check out the article here.
Four
Coming up next, after releasing several different singles over the past few years. It looks like Sudbury-base singer-songwriter, Justine Giles has compiled those tracks into her new EP, Another Chance. Which will be hitting all of the available streaming platforms on October 25th, this Friday. This EP encapsulates the past four years of Justine’s creative journey, in five heartfelt and beautifully constructed songs. I’d say solidifying her as a powerful Canadian voice within the global singer/songwriter scene. Within an article, you can see a special live performance of her song, “Save Myself” coming off of her album here.
Three
Introducing ARK IDENTITY from Toronto is here to share a glimpse of his forthcoming debut EP. Also known as Noah Mroueh, he has the EP ANNDALE coming out this fall, on the 8th of November. But his latest indie pop track, “Bleed Out In The Night” is available now and finds Mroueh reflecting on holding onto your integrity when someone threatens to dictate your path for you, going against your core values. It will comfort the listener with the song’s subject matter as Mroueh delivers the chorus straight to your canals. We’ve got an interview with ARK IDENTITY plus the video for the brand new single here.
Two
This week’s runner-up for the top spot includes Kingston-based musician Aruna Antonella Handa. Who’s announced the release of her newest single, “City Hotel” by her Toronto band Aruna & the Sirens. It was released on October 18th with help from Frozen Lake Records and you can find out on all streaming platforms. But this country ballad recounts stories of racist attacks against people in and around Ontario. This new single will be the first single to drop from the upcoming concept album, which dives into some deep topics about addiction and recovery. This is where you can check out this powerful track “City Hotel”, right in our article with Aruna & The Sirens here.
BONUS: Canadian Beats Passport
This week’s bonus recommendation is gonna be a scary one, coming from our Canadian Beats Passport section. The third highly anticipated installment in the underground slasher franchise, Terrifier 3 is now playing in theatres across North America. Boston, Massachusetts heavy metal band, Ice Nine Kills has unleashed a new single and the official track for the movie. “A Work of Art”, is available across all streaming platforms now and the 14-minute blood-soaked extended cut of the music video is out now. Check out the terrifying video within our article here.
One
So now we have reached my final recommendation and it’s Canadian rock band Sierra Pilot joining us again. Making waves with the release of their latest single, “Horizons.” This hard-hitting anthem dives deep into the emotional journey of overcoming addiction and finding a renowned purpose. Listen to it now across all streaming platforms, but it serves as a testament for the personal struggles and ultimate triumph for vocalist Taylor Leith. The lyrics capture the inner turbulence of conflict, offering listeners a gripping sonic journey through the darkness to clarity. Check out the lyrical video for my number one recommendation, within the article here.
Those are gonna be all my recommendations for this week’s list of what I believe is the best new music!
