An avant-garde artist known for transcending conventional boundaries with his unique sonic identity and poetic songwriting – Mosez has solidified himself as a must-have on your upcoming radar. With no boundaries of styles and musical textures; Mosez’ sound pairs harmoniously with his depthful poetry and range of vocals. His debut solo single, “Paperview,” marked a defining moment in his career, setting the stage for his highly anticipated ELP. With a fearless approach to making music, Mosez captivates audiences with his compelling live performances, leaving an indelible mark on listeners’ hearts.
“Safe In Solitude” came to fruition as Mosez had his world flipped upside-down. It’s 2022 and faced with the consequences of his bad choices, he was left in solitude. His friends had abandoned him and villainized his character. A year of deep reflection at the age of 23. During that time his greatest friend was his partner who helped him navigate through these trials and tribulations and his music. Establishing himself as a rising star in the music industry, Mosez’s commitment to artistic integrity and dedication to “The music first” ethos shines through in every aspect of his work. With widespread acclaim from blogs and magazines, Mosez Jones is poised for big things, solidifying his place as a must-watch artist on the cusp of greatness.
First off care to introduce yourself to our readers?
A pleasure to have the opportunity to introduce myself to your audience. My name is Mosez Jones I’m a Recording artist and Producer hailing from the city of Montréal, QC. I write produce and record all of my songs in my home studio that I’ve built over the years that went from a massive cluttered collection to a condensed selection of items. I adopt the philosophy of less is more. Embracing the challenge of using minimal options to force a creative approach to my process.
Tell us a bit about your recent release.
My most recent release titled, “BIRKNBAGZ” is what I would describe as a concoction of rap gymnastics and Atlanta-driven beats. For this song in particular I knew I needed an undeniable scorching aspect, which is exactly what “Arizé” who is now forever solidified in my books as dope delivered. I would say this song is very different from the recent music I’ve been creating but nonetheless a very important aspect to my character and style.
How do you typically go about the songwriting process? Do you have a specific method or creative routine that you follow?
In all honestly I believe I have somewhat of an unhealthy routine with creating, I feed very much on bursts of inspiration rather than constance. I believe I also have developed a deep connection with my self-creation process to sometimes a fault. Nine times out of ten I’ll finish a song in one setting, which includes producing, writing, recording, and mixing. I love what I’ve done so far with this method since it keeps a sense of continuity to the music. Unfortunately, it has also led to long cooldown periods between songs.
Looking ahead, what are your plans for supporting this new release? Are there any upcoming tours, music videos, or additional content that fans can look forward to in connection with this project?
I’m super excited for my next release “ Safe In Solitude”, It’ll be my first long format project with 7 songs. I’ll be doing a big performance for the album and also not to mention recording a music video with a great director from Edmonton “Tyler Fergusson” for one of the tracks “One Page Letter”. I just finished shooting an artist showcase video which is meant to be an elevated showcase to myself the “artist”. I’ll be working directly on the sound for this as well.
Looking back on your musical career, is there a particular moment or accomplishment that you consider a turning point or a highlight?
I would say the highlight for me is having the ability and choice available to create whatever I can imagine every day.
Last but not least, it’s time to pay it forward, what upcoming band or artist would you recommend your fans check out?
Without a doubt in my mind Nyota Parker.
