Kyle Richardson Updates His Debut Album, Louder Than Words To Foster Positivity and Confidence
Canadian pop artist Kyle Richardson is thrilled to bring the complete acoustic version of his debut album, Louder Than Words.
An 11-track effort, the acoustic version of Louder Than Words was produced by Jeff Dawson (Daniel Powter, Kelly Rowland), the primary producer on the original album. Richardson also collaborated as a writer on each of the album’s songs, with additional co-writing contributions from Dawson, Alan Poettcker, Andrew Allen, and Tea Petrovic.
Speaking about the new acoustic release, Richardson says,
“After completing the initial album during the pandemic years, Jeff and I re-visited it in a different form and re-recorded it from scratch. The acoustic album maintains the emotional core of what we accomplished the first time, but the stripped-down version allows the vocals, lyrics and storytelling to stand out in new ways.”
The acoustic version of “Louder Than Words” arrives after the momentum of Richardson’s three 2023 singles, “Can You Hear Me”, “Anything”, and “Fight the Good Fight” and the initial album release. In addition to those tracks, “Louder than Words” includes the longing and romantic title track, the nostalgic and effervescent “Fun”, the moody love-fueled “Perfect Crime”, the intoxicating “Everything About You”, the soulful throwback “Memory Lane”, the breezy “Sooner or Later”, the joyously upbeat “Nice to Meet You”, and the emotion-heavy ballad “Keep the Faith”.
Richardson was raised in Vernon, British Columbia before moving to Vancouver to pursue music over a decade ago. Since then, he’s written with the likes of Carly Rae Jepsen, DYLN, and Garrett Neiles, enjoyed TV sync placements and radio play through his past work, and reached over 1.5 million Spotify streams as a guest vocalist on Bobina’s 2016 single, “Love is the Answer”. A proud member of the LGBTQIA+ artist community, Richardson has performed at local Pride shows and is quick to lend his voice to advocate for equal representation and diversity in the music industry.
Through his recent releases and now two incarnations of his debut album, Richardson has reinforced his industry status as a smooth vocalist and crafty songwriter who can offer a mix of eclectic genre-influences in different sonic environments – which, like the album, leaves him grateful for his journey and hopeful about the future.
He says,
“Friendship, love, and loyalty are at the heart of this album, but the ultimate message is finding positivity and confidence to get through the hard times. For listeners who discover my music through this album and moving forward, my hope is that they will feel understood, uplifted, and encouraged.”
