The featured article where we like to showcase a bunch of articles that were presented this last week on our website. I have only hand-picked six articles, but our website is always jampacked with new content. So go and explore the rest of our site and share with everyone. Starting off our list we have Multi-platinum, 4x JUNO Award-nominated artist and producer elijah woods joining us this week. Now with his new version of the track, “last girl” featuring CCMA award-winning, singer-songwriter MacKenzie Porter. The song was originally a part of woods’ bright orange everglow EP but is now crafted into a beautiful cross-genre love song. Moving on we have to introduce you to Danny Lamb, an artist who has been creating music and doing everything he can to carve out a more empathetic world since the age of sixteen. His latest single, “Powerful (Hold Space)” is both a testament and a reflection of his dedication to music, love, and empathy, and you can hear it clearly in every note. Now with three vocalists on this next song, it’s appropriate that I place it at my third top spot of the week. Sibling Hip-Hop duo, Violent Ground have teamed up with Trap-pop artist Mattmac on “Capture The Flag”. A melodic and motivational Hip-Hop anthem emphasizing triumph over personal struggles. This next singer is based out of Sudbury and is an adult contemporary artist by the name of Ashley Woodruff. She has just unveiled her single, “Free (Live off the Floor)” on all streaming platforms and here on our website. It’s a single about reflecting on a past, unhealthy situation and appreciating how it’s over and how life has flourished since then. It’s a beautiful song that is available across all streaming platforms as well, as you can hear it here.
BONUS: Canadian Beats Passport
It’s time for my bonus recommendation, we will be introducing you to an incredible duo. Brooklyn-based blues pair, Baker and Cas are invoking the spirit of classic rock ‘n’ roll in their latest single, “My Sug”. You can find it now across any of your streaming platforms that you prefer. The song immediately hooks the listener with its harmonic and chug-a-chug rock rhythm that defined early rock music. This one here is gonna be my final recommendation this week, so it’s gonna be a great one! All the way in Ottawa we have my number one pick of the week, alt-rockers First of the Last Stars. There are so many paths that appear in our lives, it can be really hard to tell what is for sure the right way to go. However in their new single “Wrong Star” they have addressed the fear of regret, in this dreamy, introspective that you can find across all your favourite streaming platforms.
