Jenn Grant shares video for “Nobody’s Fool” featuring Aquakultre

Champagne Problems Album Tour Is Happening Now

Jenn Grant presents her video for “Nobody’s Fool” today featuring Aquakultre, taken from her Canadian collaboration LP Champagne Problems. Jenn started her album tour this past weekend.  She’s set to play Newfoundland next and will be crossing the country with dates including Vancouver, Victoria, Edmonton, Winnipeg, Halifax, and more.

The video for “Nobody’s Fool” was directed by Jenn’s sister-in-law, Tessa Fleming, and DOP was Jenn’s brother, Daniel Grant.

Tessa describes the making of the video as a

“joyous family affair.  This song is cinematic and playful. As such I wanted the imagery to reflect the obvious friendship between Jenn and Lance showcasing two musicians preparing and performing their art contrasted with the more stylized, dreamy sequences that tell the story of the song- two people spiralling through the places love can take us.”

“To have this footage around the release in Toronto at The Danforth and then more action filled moments in the studio was the perfect setting to get to hang back and bust my chops with my other brother Lance aka Aquakultre,” says Jenn.I love this song from its beginnings in writing with Lance and Daniel Ledwell to performing it with Lance and now it’s getting a new birth into the visual world which is where it was always meant to live for me, too. This video captures the essence and power behind this super jam that I am so proud of.”

Jenn Grant’s music is deeply empathetic and generous of heart, so of course one day she would invite the whole country to make it with her. Champagne Problems features twelve unique collaborations with Jenn and some of the most celebrated artists in Canada- Aquakultre, Kim Harris, Basia Bulat, Bahamas, Dan Mangan, Hannah Georgas with Amy Millan, Kevin Drew, Ria Mae, Josh Qaumariaq, Slow Leaves, Joel Plaskett and Tim Baker.

Champagne Problems was recorded and produced by Jenn and Daniel Ledwell at Lake Echo, Nova Scotia. The LP is Jenn’s eighth album and first in the producer’s chair. The 12 tracks encompass a series of collaborative Canadian magic tricks spun into classic country, lost disco hits, and ruminative folk fables.
