Tash Sultana brought their North American tour, alongside opening act Chiiild, to the Orpheum Theatre in Vancouver, BC on August 29th, 2023.
Before the headliner took the stage, the crowd was treated to a fantastic show opening performance. Montreal’s Chiiild held an intimate and comfortable space on stage, and the band was in the moment throughout their performance.
However, the night’s highlights came with the headliner Tash Sultana. The Australian, multi-instrumentalist artist had an incredible way of captivating the audience both with their music and their infectious energy. It was an incredible experience to watch Sultana’s unbridled talent in playing an array of instruments, including guitar, drums, saxophone, and keyboards, seamlessly singing and looping them together into a single song. Sultana’s performance was a non-stop energetic showcase that included some of their biggest hits, such as “Notion” and “Jungle.”
Overall, the night was magical, with Chiiild setting the mood for Tash Sultana’s high-energy and captivating performance. The concert was a must-see experience for music lovers and anyone who appreciates musicianship.
