Saturday was a hot night for sure, and what better way to celebrate Halifax in the summer, than to hit the town for some HOT acts! I decided I would test the waters with my post-covid coverage by hitting the Seahorse Tavern for two rocking country acts, Brooklyn Blackmore and Hot Mondy!
Brooklyn Blackmore is a charismatic singer that has such a powerful presence that she commanded the stage as soon as she stepped her feet on it. Not only singing but also playing multiple instruments and wowing everyone in the building, this singer/songwriter is someone to keep our eye on!
Hot Mondy was a longly anticipated band that I have been looking forward to seeing live for a while now. Seeing some familiar faces on stage is already a great way to spend the night. Joining the band on stage was Jah’Mila, who just absolutely stole the show. The dance floor was full, the crowd cheered on every song. Definitely, a show I encourage all to go see.
