Kitchener’s Courtney Wolfe Shares Edgy Single, “Can You See Me?”
Kitchener, ON-based Courtney Wolfe has departed from the airy pop she is known for, releasing a bold, edgy pop-punk track, “Can You See Me?”
While experiencing personal turmoil, Courtney found herself drawn to metal and punk music. It was cathartic in a way. “Can You See Me?” was written at a time when Wolfe was feeling exhausted from the time spent calling out to someone, who simply wouldn’t acknowledge her. With pent-up emotions and angst, as well as inspiration from her new found love of metal and punk music, the single came easily to her.
“It is one of my proudest achievements in my musical career, because it felt like the song I have been wanting to write my whole life, but I never knew I had it in me,” explained Courtney. “I am so excited to share it with listeners who are fed up with something going on in their life, and hope they’re able to connect in a cathartic way as well.”
Just as she has in the past, Courtney leaned into the talents of producer Sydney Johnson at Wonlife Music Group in Brampton, Ontario. He brought her vision to life in studio and it’s better than anything Wolfe could have imagined.
