Review
The first introduction to Philip MacQueen’s upcoming EP, “Should’ve Known.” does a great job showcasing just what Philip has to offer, although I have a feeling he has some surprises up his sleeves.
Beginning with a lively beat and soon joined by Philip’s passionate and powerful vocals, “Should’ve Known” quickly grabbed my attention and had my feet tapping.
One of the standout features of “Should’ve Known” is the range of musical dynamics throughout the track and the rise and fall of intensity.
The lyrics throughout the track are relevant to many and put forth a question many of us have pondered, “Was all of this for nothing, how could I’ve known when I met you, And tell you that I’m sorry, how could I’ve known when I met you.”
Overall, the song’s energy and enthusiasm are at the forefront, with a focus on Philip’s vocals, leaving the listener longing for more.
