Broken Social Scene

On Saturday, December 17, at History, Toronto’s own Broken Social Scene played a hometown show celebrating the 20th anniversary of their quintessential 2002 album You Forgot It In People.
Broken Social Scene was joined by Status/ Non-Status, an Anishinaabe-Canadian alt-rock band from Guelph whose members were recently short-listed for the 2022 Polaris Music Prize earlier this year. Unfortunately, we missed their performance.
Broken Social Scene predominantly played tunes from their 2002 record but went off track to perform material from outside the album too. Highlights included their performance of classic songs, “Lover’s Spit,” “Cause= Time,” “Pacific Theme,” “KC Accidental,” and “Anthems For a 17-Year-Old Girl.”
