Sheila Soares and Myke Mazzei team up on “Love Every Day of the Year”
Toronto, ON-based jazz vocalist Sheila Soares has unveiled her new holiday folk tune, “Love Every Day of the Year,” on which she collaborated with longtime Toronto folk rocker Myke Mazzei.
The single was recorded by Graydon James (Young Novelists) at Typewriter Studios in Toronto and features Myke on harmony, vocals, and acoustic guitar.

Beginning with a smooth, gentle beat, “Love Every Day of the Year” showcases Sheila’s vocals in the first verse. The jazz vocalist does an amazing job on this folk-influenced track.
As we reach the chorus, harmonies between Sheila and Myke add complexity to the track. The duet style of the track fits so perfectly, and the two artists complement each other perfectly.
The lyrics, “Love is here every day, not just on this one day of cheer, it’s in your heart, you’ll find it there, Love every day of the year,” do a great job of open showcases the meaning of the track, urging people to discover the true point of it all, that love is around you, cherish it every day, not just on Christmas.
The track brought tears to my eyes, feeling the pure emotion evoked through the lyrics and vocals.
