Last night, the Place Bell concourse filled up with metalcore fans as Black Veil Brides, Ice Nine Kills, Motionless in White and Atreyu brought their action-packed Trinity of Terror Tour to town! After having to cancel the Toronto date due to snow-related border issues following the Buffalo NY storm, Laval was the only Canadian date the band played for this 3rd leg of their tour, making the show feel extra special!
Atreyu opened the night with a bang, with a set filled with energy, guttural screams and jumps. They were followed by Pennsylvania’s Motionless In White, who put on a futuristically dystopian show, punctuated by actual grinders as pyro!
The true highlight of the evening for us was Ice Nine Kills. Led by frontman Spencer Charnas, the band put on the most cinematic experience, featuring costume changes, props, and of course many fake stabbings and murders! With stunning stage visuals and incredible energy, the set was a treat for the eyes and ears. We’ll go back to Horrorwood any time!
Finally, Black Veil Brides closed out the evening. Lead singer Andy Biersack captivated the audience as he ran back and forth on the stage. The band, 15 years in the making, clearly has matured in its sound and stage presence, going through pounding hits one after the other, delighting the audience.
Just like when we caught it in March in Calgary, the Trinity of Terror tour was a true metalcore masterclass, and we truly hope a Part 4 of the tour will come back to Canada soon!
