Rising BC artist & producer B00sted (neé Keegan Jaeckel) offers up an easy-listening, bright and upbeat blend of pop and hip-hop with his new single “Remedy,” available for streaming across platforms.
Starting out with a DIY mindset, leading to over three million views on YouTube alone, B00sted has garnered over 7 million catalog streams. Having recently signed to 604 Records, B00sted is proving to be leading the pack in the next generation of artists to watch.
Writing about the rollercoaster of navigating relationships in early adulthood, B00sted shares,
“‘Remedy’ is a song about trying not to fall in love and the difficulties you face in the process. It’s not because you don’t want to fall in love, you just know the hardships and stress of it all. As many can relate, relationships can be hard and typically have you thinking about the future constantly. In ‘Remedy’, I describe my own experience throughout the track.“

Care to introduce yourself to our readers?
Hey, my name is Keegan, aka “B00sted,” and I’m a 21-year-old singer-songwriter-producer from a small town called Mission about an hour east of Vancouver, BC, Canada. My style of music is like a Hip-Hop infused Pop with a splash of Indie.
Tell us a bit about your most recent release.
My latest and first-ever record with 604 Records, titled “Remedy,” dropped about a back in October this year. The track was actually written and recorded all in my bedroom studio setup last fall in the span of like 2-3 hours. I got sent a beat pack from the producer (Prod. CXMP) over Instagram and instantly came up with the hook melody. After freestyling the whole thing pretty much, I wrote and recorded the whole song in one sitting. I wanted to create that pop vibe but also stick to some of my Hip-Hop vibes on this record.
Where do you tend to pull inspiration from when writing?
I tend to pull inspiration from my day-to-day life and also a lot from where I’m from. Whenever I try and write away from home, I tend to get pretty stuck and end up finishing it all when I’m back home, where I’m able to load up beats and play around with melody ideas.
Do you have any upcoming shows or festivals you’d like to tell us about?
At this point in time, nothing has been scheduled. I’m still in the process of finishing up my seven-song EP, so once I finish that up and have it all lined up, I’ll definitely think more about the live side of music.
What’s your goal for the rest of 2022?
I’d say my main goal for 2022 is to finish up my project & keep up a general push to finish up a lot of my unfinished demos & ideas.
