On November 10, American singer Fletcher brought her Girl of my Dreams show to the sold-out Vogue Theatre in Vancouver for the last Canadian date of her North American tour.
Support act Chappell Roan and her band took the stage around 8 pm, dressed in very bright outfits. Her energetic set got everyone ready for what was to come with Fletcher.
At 9 pm sharp, Cari Fletcher emerged through the doors of her aptly named Girl of her Dreams storefront set under the crowd’s screams. During the night, Fletcher made good use of her impressive set alternating between the built-in bed, the high platform, the stage, and the barricade.
Her set was a good balance between her new album and older EPs like The S(ex) Tapes and a Britney Spears’ cover, “If U Seek Amy.” Fans had their say in the setlist and could vote on a “Dream” sequence before the show. The songs chosen that night were “I Love You, Bitch” and “Healing.”
She ended the show on a high note with the now classics “Becky’s So Hot” and “Bitter.”
For her first-ever show in Vancouver, Fletcher proved how much of an entertainer she is and how much potential she has to grow even bigger as a pop star.
