Slow Spirit

Slow Spirit shares an uplifting reminder to look up, look around and connect with the bigger picture in life with “Star Stuff”

Manitoba-based indie folk-rockers Slow Spirit release their latest single, “Star Stuff.” Featuring smooth and melodic vocals, bass, and guitar from Natalie Borhn, supported by Eric Roberts playing drums, percussion, organ, and saxophone, “Star Stuff” is a gentle and uplifting reminder to look up, look around and appreciate the bigger picture available to us in every moment.

“Star Stuff was inspired by a winter holiday to a warm coast, in an attempt to evade the winter blues. Star Stuff is about making peace with big and heavy feelings, and taking time to look out at the sky and ocean, ultimately remembering the bigger picture,” said Bohrn.

The staple of Manitoba’s music scene has released numerous singles, EPs, and a few LPs over the years, developing a hearty catalogue of inspiring and sometimes experimental indie folk rock. Bohrn and Roberts draw inspiration from their lives just outside Riding Mountain National Park, writing with attention to nature, climate, and human wellness.

“Star Stuff” is a clear extension of their continually developing creative process, where Bohrn and Roberts have written, produced, recorded, mixed, and mastered the track while also creating the single artwork and press photos. As a duo, their combined creative skills and tastes demonstrate that Slow Spirit is an unstoppable creative force.
